We had a fabulous time at Redmayne House, really easy to find, the grandeur of the house really sets it a part. An ideal location for large gatherings with plenty of cosy nooks throughout the house filled with personal touches. We were really impressed by the warmth radiating throughout the house, despite the season, you’ll find there’s so much to look at you’ll be wandering around and discovering all of the historical intrigues and luxuries Redmayne has to offer. My dog loved her treats and bowls already set up for her, she made herself quite at home and launched herself into the expanse of the open rear gardens, whilst my children enjoyed the pool table and an elaborate game of hide and seek. The hot tub was a welcome addition in the summer house, my husband and I enjoyed the rare treat of peace and tranquillity in the late evening. There’s lots of convenient local restaurants and takeaways, in a quaint town. We enjoyed the local Chinese. A fantastic visit all round – we’ll be coming next year with more people in tow
Millbrook Lodge is a fantastic, family friendly lodge We have had a lovely weekend at Millbrook Lodge and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, family friendly stay. We were greeted by a lovely welcome basket, filled with treats for the adults, sweets for the kids and even some for the dog. The lodge felt so warm and welcoming, with the sounds of the river outside, it is in a perfect spot where you aren’t too far away from local amenities but it feels secluded -looking onto the river outside. We went to the nearby town of Kendal and had an amazing lunch and walk around. We would definitely recommend this. Back at the lodge there is an activity table, dart board and hot tub - which the kids (and adults) loved. There is also a cinema room, which we used have a film night and was great fun. There are three bathrooms, with a jacuzzi bath in the main one, so plenty for all the family. Throughout there are lots of little touches that make the stay comfortable for families - plastic crockery for the children, high chair, change mat and board games. Overall we would definitely recommend Millbrook Lodge for a fantastic time creating memories.😀
